![]() ![]() Given the quality of discussion around here, it's fairly clear that many of you are 14 anyway. None of them are welcome here, this is not a NSFW subreddit. Yes, there are lots of mods our there that let you have nudity and more in Skyrim. When there are 10 shitposts on the subreddit a day about it, don't go posting it. This includes handprint spam, A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON, freeze frame, etc. This goes for mods too - posting links to mods that the owner doesn't want distributed will not be permitted, there are other subreddits for that. The game has been on sale for ridiculously low amounts. Yes, we've all seen that box of crackers that matches a race name in Skyrim. Lots of things look like stuff in Skyrim, the game is based on a world not unlike ours. We want more interesting content than that, please. If we don't have it, the subreddit becomes r/picturesofthingsthatremindmeofskyrim. This is for the same reason as the last one. I will be looking into having a "meme day" once a week for you all to shitpost to your hearts content. If I made exceptions for memes that people like, there's no point in having the rule. If you have a good meme to post, go post it on our new discord server in the meme channel.īut everyone loves my memes, please just let me post it.Įvery time I remove a meme on here, I get some variation of the above. I don't - but because of the way upvotes work on reddit, if we do allow memes and other "low-effort" content, it becomes all we see on the subreddit. This does not refer to the high quality hand drawn comics saying funny things about skyrim - those are fine, but try to link to the original source.īut why do you hate memes, oh mighty moderators? No Memes or Rage Comics This refers to ingame screenshots with text on them, "image macros" with the generic backgrounds, and the low effort f7u12 comics that were everyone's favorite back in 2011. We've banned 40 people so far since the release of Special Edition. If you demonstrate that you can't hold a civil conversation, you'll be banned from the subreddit. We're here to discuss an awesome videogame, not to be assholes to each other. ![]() Since the release of the Special Edition, traffic to this subreddit has increased a little, so I wanted to remind everyone of our rules around here, and why we have them.įor some reason, people really struggle with this. Each quirk gives the game personality, a fond memory we can look back on like the first time we decided to kill the chicken and Riverwood and promptly had the entire kingdom of Tamriel descend on us like a swift but overreacting hammer of justice.Welcome back everyone. Rather than rage at Bethesda for some honestly silly things that happen in-game, we poke fun at it and acknowledge that we wouldn't want the game any other way. (That sounded scientific, right?)Īnyway, the humor of this harmless prevalence of illogical code is evident by the meme culture created by the zealous fanbase. You'd essentially also put every shop owner out of business since their supply can't keep up with your demand. Now, I'm not saying I have a degree, but by saturating the economy with that much generated money earned from pesky things like dragon bones would cause drastic inflation, leaving your precious septims almost worthless. For example, let's say every merchant had unlimited gold and could buy anything from you at any time no matter the worth. And fixing any of them would leave the game not quite as good as before. Still, these lapses in the model are more endearing than game-breaking. There are a ton of inconsistencies and logic gaps that keep the game from being a truly perfect RPG. ![]() Let's be real, Skyrim isn't perfect, but it gets pretty close. ![]()
